FAQs About Home Surveys

Do I need a survey when buying a home?

Yes — a survey identifies defects, helps you understand repair costs, and reduces the risk of unexpected expenses after completing the purchase.

Is a Level 2 survey enough for my property?

If the home is modern and in reasonable condition, a Level 2 is often suitable. Older or altered buildings usually require a Level 3.

How long does a home survey take?

Typically:

Level 2: 1.5–3 hours
Level 3: 3–6 hours

How soon will I receive the report?

Most surveys are delivered within 2–7 working days, depending on the level and complexity.

Do you offer valuations?

Yes, valuations can be added to both Level 2 and Level 3 reports.
